We took the classic mule and gave it a Utah identity. The sage and local honey reflect our landscape, while the ginger keeps the kick you expect.
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- ½ oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz sage simple syrup*
- Top with ginger beer
- Lime wheel + fresh sage garnish
- *Simmer equal parts sugar and water with fresh sage for 10 min
Method
- Fill a copper mug (or tall glass) with ice.
- Add vodka, lime juice, and sage syrup.
- Stir briefly to combine.
- Top with cold ginger beer.
- Garnish with a lime wheel and 2–3 fresh sage leaves.
💡 Pro tip: The sage syrup keeps for 2 weeks in the fridge. Try it with bourbon instead of vodka for a Wasatch Mule No. 2.
